Once upon a time in the winter season, a poor old man was sitting on the roadside begging for shelter and food in the cold times to survive his death.
One cold night, a billionaire met the poor man outside.
He asked him, "don't you feel cold begging outside without shelter and not wearing any coat?"
The poor old man replied," I don't have it but I got used to the habit of staying without shelter."
The billionaire replied, "Wait for me, I will bring one coat for you from my house nearby."
Meanwhile, the poor old man got so happy and said that he will wait for him.
The billionaire entered his house and got busy there with the household things which he had forgotten to
bring a coat for the poor old man.
Next in the morning, he remembered that the poor old man and he went outside to search for him but
he found him dead because of cold weather, but he had left a note saying that
"When I didn't have any warm clothes, I had the power to fight the cold
because I was used to that.
But when you promised to help me, I got attached to your promise
and that took my power of resisting."
Moral of the story:
Don't promise anything if you can't keep your promise.
It might not mean anything to you,
But it could mean everything to someone else.
